The Daily Grime

BY LEONARD PIGG

They can’t ever see

The good in me

Amid the mess

Pure sinfulness

I bear the weight

Of the greatest hate

More twists and turns

Broken hearts, heel turns

The heart of the city

Is broken, without pity

Pumping hard poison veins

More losses than gains

She steps out on him

He has a boyfriend

Unaware of each other

They both share a lover

The politician debates

While the lawmen hates

Citizens going ballistic

The establishment is sadistic

He remembers good old days

Amid dementia’s haze

Blame the foreign people

An excuse to be evil

In a city without hope

A population on dope

Tangled in the blinds

Of bigoted minds

Time wasters

Grime chasers
