Advice for Managing Crisis in the Sea

THE CONVERSATION

Part One, 9 June 2024: Identifying and Managing the Crisis in the Sea, speech in Las Vegas, Nevada [*]

I say, what would happen if the boat sank from its weight, and you’re in the boat, and you have this tremendously powerful battery, and the battery’s now under water, and there’s a shark that’s approximately ten yards over there—by the way, a lot of shark attacks lately, [1] do you notice that?—I watched some guys [2] justifying it today, ‘Well they weren’t really that angry, they bit off the young lady’s leg because of the fact that they weren’t hungry but they misunderstood who she was.’

These people are crazy. He [3] said, ‘there’s no problem with sharks, they just didn’t really understand a young woman swimming,” no really got decimated [4] and other people too, a lot of shark attacks. So I said, ‘there’s a shark ten yards away from the boat, ten yards, or here [5]. Do I get electrocuted if the boat is sinking, water goes over the battery [6], the boat is sinking [7]? Do I stay on top of the boat and get electrocuted or do I jump over by the shark [8] and not get electrocuted?

Because I will tell you, he didn’t know the answer. He said, ‘You know, nobody’s ever asked me that question.’ I said, ‘I think it’s a good question. I think there’s a lot of electric current coming through that water.’ But you know what I’d do if there was a shark or you get electrocuted? I’ll take electrocution every single time. I’m not getting near the shark [9]. So we’re going to end that, we’re going to end it for boats [10], we’re going to end it for trucks [11].

Part Two, 22 June 2024: A Further Exploration on the Topic at Hand [**]
22 June 2024, I have “wounds all over my body. “ If you take “this shirt off, you’d see a beautiful, beautiful person but you’d see wounds all over me…I’ve taken a lot of wounds. More than, I suspect, any president ever.” (Image: enhanced from Reuters).

Now they’ll say all these stories are terrible. Well, these stories have, you know, you heard my story in the boat with the shark, right? I got killed on that. They thought I was rambling. I’m not rambling. We can’t get the boat to float. The battery is so heavy. [12] So then I start talking about asking questions. You know, I have an, I had an uncle [13] who was a great professor at MIT for many years, long, I think the longest tenure ever [14]. Very smart, had three different degrees and you know, so I have an aptitude for things. [14.2] You know, there is such a thing as an aptitude. I said, well, what would happen if this boat is so heavy and started to sink and you’re on the top of the boat [15]. Do you get electrocuted or not? [16] In other words, the boat is going down and you’re on the top, will the electric currents flow through the water and wipe you out? [17] And let’s say there’s a shark about ten yards over there. Would I have to immediately abandon or could I ride the electric down [18] and he said, sir, nobody’s ever asked us that question. But sir, I don’t know. I said, well, I want to know because I guarantee you one thing, I don’t care what happens. I’m staying with the electric [19], I’m not getting over with it. So I tell that story. And the fake news they go, he told this crazy story with electric. It’s actually not crazy. It’s sort of a smart story, right? Sort of like, you know, it’s like the snake [20], it’s a smart when you, you figure what you’re leaving in, right? [21] You’re bringing it in the, you know, the snake, right? [22] The snake and the snake. [23]

Notes and Study Questions:

[*] a land-locked desert

[1.] “attacks in the U.S. have actually trended down in recent years.” See USAToday, 11 June 2024

[2.] Which guys? Who?

[3.] Who? (A “possibly apocryphal” boat manufacturer in South Carolina?)

[4.] Who got decimated? The guy? The shark? The young lady’s leg? The shark, the boat, or the battery?

[5.] Where is “here”? On the podium during the speech? Right next to or on the conjectural boat?

[6.] “batteries would rapidly discharge in seawater and pose minuscule risk to humans because the water conducts electricity far better than human bodies do.” See here.

[7.] Even if the battery were inoperable, why would the boat sink?

[8.] Why would one jump over by the shark? Would one not choose to jump away from the shark on the opposite side of the boat?

[9.] Average electrocution deaths in the U.S. are 1000, 400 due to high-voltage incidents, up to 300 by lightning. (2023, NIH) In contrast, there were 14 shark-related deaths globally in 2023 (four provoked).

[10.] End what for boats? Batteries? Sharks? What?

[11.] Trucks? Where did trucks come from and what are we ending for them, and why? Possibly related to electric power and regulations? Is the truck in the ocean? (It will float for between 30 to 120 seconds, on average.)

[12.] Why is the boat not floating, even with a heavy battery? The heaviest boat ever, the Seawise Giant (260,941 gross tonnes) never sank, despite incurring damage in 1988.

[13.] John G. Trump

[14.] John G. Trump served MIT for 52 years, 49 as professor. While he was among the longest-serving faculty, he was not the longest. At least ten faculty members served professorships for at least 53 years. (See here.)

[14.2] Nephews and uncles share approximately (and only) 25% of their genetic material.

[**] Washington, D.C., Faith & Freedom Coalition, Road to Majority Conference (video: full speech)

[15.] See note 12.

[16.] Probably not. See note 6.

[17.] Probably not. See notes 6 and 12.

[18.] “ride the electric down:” what electric? The battery-ridden, heavy, supposedly sinking boat? An escalator in Trump Tower? Something else? A truck?

[19.] Electric what? Battery, boat, truck? Boogaloo? Avenue? Company? The Body? Youth?

[20.] Snake? What snake?

[21.] It’s a “smart” snake that you’re leaving in where? And why would you do that? And what about the sharks and the batteries? Where did the snakes come from? Are these also a danger in the ocean? OR: what is smart? What are you “leaving in” and in what are you leaving it?

[22.] What exactly are we bringing “in the snake?” (And why wouldn’t we just use a basket, a bag, or the boat to bring “it” instead?)

[23.] But where did the snake (and the snake) come from; how do they relate to the shark and the battery and the boat and the MIT professor and aptitude?
