Hopeless.
I see a dark future
A world with black flowers
Children play in battlefields
Dark banners wave in the green skies
Drones wandering aimlessly
Leaders answer to no one
Murky waters all around
A pungent musk to the air
An endless overload
Sleep is never peaceful
Logos branded inside eyelids
Salvation is a myth
This is the cost of living
Hopeful.
There’s so much pain in this world
I will hold your hand and take it from you
That’s how much you mean to me
We can make things better
I know we can evolve
Ascend beyond the mundane
If only we are together
Moving mountains from our path
Becoming a beacon of that which should be
Let’s change the world together
